Hmmm . . . we do know that many people risked their lives to help slaves escape, would it really be much of a leap to believe that someone might give a child a secondhand dress? Weren't there real groups like the one that helped Addy and her mother?

I had also thought that AG just wanted to give Addy some good things after all she had been through. I kind of feel that way about Addy myself. Funny thing is that my Addy doll has way more things than my other dolls.

I just wish AG would come out with another dark skinned doll with a different face than Addy's. Anyone have an opinion of which doll might make a good post Civil War friend for Addy?
